we are not just art for michaelangelo to carve

Thank God the world didn't end.  I got to hear this album!

I was pretty scared to hear this album (much like I was to hear Britney's) because those "teaser" songs she put out were not really my cup of tea.  But after listening to this album for a week, I can safely say I like it.  I even started to like those teaser songs she put out.. weird.

A lot of the songs are MUCH different from what she's done in the past, but yeah, I still like it.
i can't find any full audio on youtube so whatever ANYWAY

why you so speechless?

For my NEXT birthday trick...

Lady Gaga (or Ga-GA as a few privileged are allowed to call her..) called Jenell and I and BEGGED us to come out to eat with her at the boardwalk hall in atlantic city.  Little did we know, it was a surprise party.  And it had a photobooth.  See?
That was all a lie.  That was just the photobooth on my phone.  Sigh.
Anyway!  We went to the MONSTER BALL in ATLANTIC CITY, and despite requests to sit down, we couldn't.  We just could not sit down.  We had to dance and do this...

It was fun. I think I could go to the Monsterball once a month.. her music is that fun.   I'm stoked to go to the "Born This Way Ball" (i think she should change the name.)  already.  AND!  We were the first concert that got to see her perform "Born This Way", so, yeah, be jealous, cause I know you are.  Right?  Yeah.. right?  You are?  Anyway.  It's a bloody good time which is why this picture is appropriate:

Side story that is awesome:  when this drag queen dressed as Lady Gaga walked down an aisle to get to her seat, everyone in the arena seriously thought it was Lady Gaga and took pictures and were screaming and clapping.  It was brilliant.  I felt really proud for the Drag Queen -- success!  Jenell and I had seen her earlier in a bar, so we knew it wasn't Lady Gaga.  But people really thought it was her, even when she and I were telling people, "it's a dude!" .. they didn't listen!

Later, Jenell sucessfully surprised me with these delicious strawberry icing/strawberry cake cupcakes.  Be Jealous, ya'll.  They were DELICIOUS!!

GOOD TIMES GOOD TIMES!

and monster cars drove a truck right through my heart

rah rah lady GA.ga show!
Check that Little Monster!!  Yes!  Another Lady Gaga show!!  And guess what?!  Jenell and I had awesome seats..

sike. I did not take that picture.   But I do love how muppet-like this outfit is...

Anyway, this was a more realistic distance, even though there's a zoom feature happening.  SO YES, Lady Gaga still puts on an amazing show.  Her shows are not as funny as they were at the Electric Factory, though.  I always like to refer to that Gaga-era as "Pre-Money Gaga".  The Gaga who had big dreams but not enough money to pull them off completely.  However, this Gaga ("Rich out the Ass Gaga") definitely has the funds and now her shows, while still funny, doesn't look like a high school play anymore.

And of course the music was fun, as well.  I'm sure everyone likes at least one Lady Gaga song.  If you don't, I almost feel like you're lying to yourself.  You may not listen to it all the time, but I really do believe that everyone has at least one Lady Gaga song they don't mind hearing while they're out or SOMETHING.

And if you try to deny it....
This is Lady Gaga giving you the "that is bullshit" side eye!!

four ways to remove all the bad that we do

For a few months, I was getting 2 free copies of Rolling Stone sent to my house.  I very much liked this situation and never questioned it for fear of it being taken away.   And of COURSE, it stopped right before this issue with Lady Gaga came to my house.

I searched all over for a copy of this magazine after it failed to come to my house and was repeatedly defeated.  So thank god Jenell exists in the world, and when she saw the last copy on Earth at Acme, she picked it up for me.

Now that I have it in person, I can definitely look at this cover and think, "DAT ASS"

am i right or am i right?  GEES.

BOYS BOYS BOYS

SO ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2009.... JENELL and I WENT TO SEE LADY GAGA IN CAMDEN!!!!!!!

she took like, a whole hour to come out, so Jenell just took a nap while I tried to use my seziure light to keep all the crazy ass people away from us including the crotch thrower, the cougars, gaga's biggest fan, and the michael jackson fan club.

BUT AFTER THE HOUR OF WAITING, Lady Gaga came out! Her stage was set up INSIDE the real stage. Insane. But the insanity only went up from there.
After singing some songs, Lady Gaga became pretty obsessed with wanting to see everyone's teeth and showed off hers as well. She'd just rather have a spoonful of bull shit than the truth is all.
The show, overall, was pretty awesome. You could tell she's made a lot more money since we last saw her in May. But her shows are always really interesting to watch, she obviously puts a lot of thought into them. Plus, she sings every single one of her songs, dances the entire time, and even shows off her skills on the piano. It's a show chock full o' entertainment. Definitely one of my favorite artists of the year, no doubt.
Which is why I was SO excited to see her just standing around outside after the show.................... or not..
bonus video. here's an interlude that plays during her show. don't see this kind of stuff at many shows, ya know? Bitch keeps it interesting!!

he ate my heart

Gotta give it up for Lady Gaga. She's one of my favorite artists of this year. She's so crazy and exciting to watch, and she actually has talent with her vocals and on the piano. Not only THAT, but her album, "The Fame", has all sorts of different styles on it, and I wouldn't be surprised if there is some sort of subliminal message crap going on, cause her music can be addicting!

You never know what you're going to get with her, and I'm hoping she's going to single handily bring back the art of the music video. When I was younger, I really wanted to be a music video director when I grew up. BUT, with MTV becoming more like R(eality)TV, the music video has died out in a sense.

So Lady Gaga comes out with the "Bad Romance" video. It was reminiscent of videos from a few years ago, when an artist had a big budget and developed a concept. It made me yearn for the days of "Making the Video" and I actually had a need to watch it again to try to pick up on more things that happened in the video. So yeah, cool video, cool CD, I dig it.

i want your fu - fu - fu - fu - future love

Lady Gaga. What to say what to say.
Very odd/fun/funny/random/wtf/SCREAM show.
Not to mention all of Lady Gaga's fans try to flash up their outfits.
Would go again! .... even with all the Candy Warhol stuff!
you should be jealous!
