you had your heart inside of my hands

We....

Went to see this....

And after a lot of dancing and hearing, "FOG MA-CHIIINNEEEE" and "JOEL MADDEN BRINGIN IT IN" and "I CANT BELIEVE BENJI MADDEN IS STARTING OFF SO STRONG" and "I LOVE THAT FOG MACHINE" and "PUT YOUR REAL HANDS UP IF YA GOT EM!" and "IF YOU'RE AN UGLY GIRL BE QUIET" and "BENJI MADDEN IS SINGLE"..... amy said...
"THEY WONT STOP YELLING AT ME" and we made our way to the exits.

But we were there for a long time and Amy found out that Cee-Lo's song is actually "Fuck you" as opposed to "Forget you".  But it was a good time.  Turtles.  Freakin Turtles.

living in our silver screen romance

Went to the TLA (i can't remember what the new name is right now) to see this band:

Jenell came with me.  It's always awkward when Benji does his song "emotionless" about his dad leaving their family and Jenell and I laugh while there are girls crying and singing their hearts out.  It's like we need someone there explaining it's an inside joke.  We're not assholes, we just like laughing.... No offense, dude.  We're not emotionless..

Anyway, it was a good time.  Lots of fun.  It was the first time in a long time where good charlotte was the only headliner, so they had a full set.  Lots of old songs we played, lots of dancing was had, and we even learned how to count to four!

They should just keep doing their own tours, even if it means smaller clubs now.  It's just more fun, ya'll.  Plus they tour with such crappy bands, ya know?  Oy.

watching all the freaky Dutch kids vomit then have sex

So awhile ago, Good Charlotte announced they would be at Cherry Hill doing an acoustic performance at Macy's.

Now back in the day, I would have been all about getting there hella early and waiting in line all day and all that jazz.....  But I'm old now, and I really am not interested in doing that anymore, and neither is Jenell!

So we decided to chance it.  Just go and scope it all out, and if there was a ridiculous line situation, we'd just keep on walking.  So the show started at 2 and we got there at 1, saw the situation, walked around, went to the bath room and didn't get in the "space" (space = 1 of 4 little boxed in areas) until 1:30.

So I was REALLY HAPPY we didn't get there at 4pm the night before.  And I'm REALLY HAPPY we didn't get there when the mall opened either.  BA HA!  that would have sucked!  OH AND!   I'm SUPER HAPPY we didn't spend $50 to meet Benji and Joel.  (I cannot say the same for some of the other people though....  annnyway.....)

The picture above displays what I saw most of the time they played, which was really funny to Jenell and I.  We had a lot of laughs with pictures like this and were inappropriately cracking up during the heartwrenching/lifesaving "Hold On".  INAPPROPRIATE!

lloosing a whole year

Bamboozle Roadshow 2010 BBQ!!!!
Hot day.  Literally.  Jenell and I had to find a lot of refuge in shaded areas because it was 90 some degrees all day long.  BUT, we made it!  We made it through all the music we didn't like and all the heat, and why?  Cause we have a family, damn it.
Or something like that.  All I know is that we like to go to see Good Charlotte and have fun.  Aaaand we did just that.  Fun times were had, jumping was had, being bossed around by Joel Madden was had.  Everything you would expect from a Good Charlotte show.

APPEARANCES from ALL TIME LOW:  2 members came out on stage during the set to sing.

After they were done.......

Stephen Jenkins and some other guys came out and played Third Eye Blind songs!  I was really happy cause they didn't just say, "Let's just play new stuff" no!  They played songs I knew and loved from days of yore, like, "Jumper", "Semi Charmed Life", "Never Let You Go" and "Graduate" (okay I didn't love the last two, it was just a like-relationship) so that was cooool.

Plus, Stephen Jenkins is full of great motivating life advice, so that was fun to.

APPEARANCES from ALL TIME LOW:  2 members came out on stage to sing and play bass during their set.

After they were done......

LMFAO came out on stage and delivered one of the most intelligent and inspiring musical performances I've ever witnessed.  These lyrics, my Goodness, they could have been written by Nietzsche or someone else on that caliber.

APPEARANCES from ALL TIME LOW:  none. But they did have human legos and robots come out.

So that was Bamboozle Roadshow 2010.  Okay, fine, there were a lot of other bands that we didn't pay any attention to or saw one song and walked away from.  But you know what?  That's just what happens when you get bamboozled.  I think.

what could make me feel this way?

Jenell really made the best commentary about this day. I almost wrote very similar commentary about this day and then erased cause I realized it was the joke about joel madden and nicole richie surviving was shocking. Damn it. You beat me this time, Jenell!!
Anyway, this day was really sad. Farrah Fawcett was one thing, but then Michael Jackson surprised the world with his death.

Then the day just got strange because Jenell and I went to Ocean City and saw Joel Madden and Nicole Richie hanging out. Why? We're not sure at all. But you can see them CLEARLY in this picture. Don't sell it to TMZ though.. I know this is the best picture taken of them ever and everything, but it's my picture, so I'm selling it. Got it?! GOOD.

Anyway, asides from a good time at the boardwalk, this day was very shocking and surprising and verrryy sad. Very big loss for popculture and music in general.

in conclusion, here's a video of michael dancing in his house from 2003. Never lost it!

there is no pain, you are receding

"well that was nice"
thems fightin' words.
walking to the car landed jenell and i in the position to meet the future james bond by accident.
that was pretty much all we needed, but before we left, I had to get a picture of this.
somebody got mobbed.
but hey, at least they stuck around...

now if she does it like this will you do it like that?

Due to lots of confusion and scheduling and such, Jenell and I were FORCED to take a road trip to upstate new york (is it upstate? It seems upstate. anyway.)

HERE IS OUR TALE.
AS SOME MAY KNOW - i really enjoy rest stops. Why? I'm not sure. But I do. We stopped at this rest stop and it was just so odd and not what I expected. There were signs to stop at this rest stop which had a Hewbrew Nation Hot Dog stop and a Krispy Kreme and such, it made it sound like a legit deal. bbbuuutttt
the bathrooms had no toliet paper and working hours.
the place was a bit small and kinda cute.
the inside was so tiny, and this was the hewbrew nation hot dog stop,a nd the krispy kreme thing was just a small box on the counter.
I don't know why it made me laugh so much... but it did. I think it's one of those, "had to be there" things.

HO-HO-KUS
A CAR USED IN "THE BOTMON" MOVIE.
DRAGONS TAKE ROAD TRIPS TOO!

As you can see, we were seeing a lot of insane stuff, so Jenell had to stop to go to the bathroom again before she pee-ed herself for real. While she did that, I found a sign that suggested people have soiled hands and touch tshirts. I also made one of those pressed pennies but i fucked it up.. so I left it in the machine for someone else to find and treasure.

BUT WE FINALLY MADE IT.
here's us with the vehicle we traveled in. yup. this is it! the ol' van. we decorated it for like... 7 hours... wow I'm so glad we took a picture with our car to remember all the hardwork we did for it. The party van. Whew. we're so awesome, you know?

I didn't take my camera in and I wasn't going to take any pictures, but it's really amazing how tall this kid was. Really amazing. so I had to take one with my "cellie" to remember this kid.
SO AFTER ALL THAT, we got back in the car and sat in traffic and stopped at more rest stops that had lots of people praying at them and all. It was a long ride home, but we made it.

Any trip that gets you some glow sticks is a trip well done.

oh YOU. you got what i need.

Last night we went and saw good charlotte for the 1st time ever. okay. lie. you caught me. I've been hittin that shit up since 2000, yo! And yo, I aint neva gonna quit! the show was pretty awesome and it's okay that they're still my guilty pleasure cause Jenell and I tend to have a lot of fun at these things. We held it down for the balcony. Stood up the whole time, did everything we were told to do, we even risked our lives and jumped for them. But bravo, Charlotte. You've been good since 1996!

Afterwards, because we KNOW people, we got into the foundation room in AC for a special private party that was to be djed by joel madden.
Here I am dancing with Benji Madden.
It was a long night, but toats worth it. Helllooo - Nicole Richie is our new BFF. She waved to us and I swear she said, "bye sexy" to me when she left. SWEAR it. If she didn't say, "bye sexy" it was something that sounded a lot like it. "bye sexy" is a cool thing for me. That's what my aim says when people sign off.

But here's proof it was a long night. Lisa was falling asleep and even the dance machine herself stopped dancing for a few minutes.

At the end of the night, we stopped Mr. Paul Thomas, bass man extraordinaire, and we gave him a Jenell and the Yets cd. He said he'd listen to it, which I believe, but I didn't think he'd do anything about it.
Well he did.

(CLICK IT)

Yeah that's in our myspace. Pretty soon, we'll no doubt be opening for them, so start brushing up on your gc now, people.

Here's 5 songs Jenell and I have complied to get you started on. A GC 101, if you will. This is for people who are stuck on the idea that they're all bout "Girls and Boys" and "The Anthem"

(1) "The World is Black"
(2) "Walk Away (Maybe)"
(3) "The Story of My Old Man"
(4) "Misery"
(5) "Face the Strange"

Enjoy that and we'll get back to it later!

the disco ball on the cieling looks like the chain that i'm wearin

It was a night of beauitful girls, unwritten apologizing, boring tattoos, ken doll hair, and surprise guests. IT WAS NOT A NIGHT of Ashley Tisdale. >:|
anyway, I'd just like to say that I wish GC really did play a christmas song. I think they'd do an awesome rendition of "frosty the snowman" or "dominic the donkey" or even "up on the rooftop"
But i'll deal with the non-Christmas songs they did. Afterall, they're the only act of the night that didn't put me to sleep. Or the rest of the joint either. PEOPLE LOVED THAT SHIT, YO!
anyway.

those who run seem to have all the fun

we had a photoshoot... i believe the first ever this photographer has had.... with Junior LaChapelle. He's trying to be the new David LaChapelle, however, I feel like he needs to work on it. He needed to give us motivation or something. But this works. I feel like he still has a long way to go... but I see great things for his future.

storm clouds dissolved into thin air

Jenell did this thing with her blog where she posted a youtube video or whatever. And really, for this post, I thought a youtube video would really display the feelings behind my sentiments below. If you feel I'm doing a terrible job and straying from my idea of a "picture blog" here is the picture. And the picture is pretty classic, so I recommend it.
but for today, those who feel it's okay for me to do this, here is the youtube update.
it shows just how much FUN children can be

Oh darling, let me go

Crazy Morning...
didn't sleep, and without sleep, we poved that we can still be amazing. Jenell and I made an elaborate dance for "Cupid's Chokehold" that we totally did NOT get to share with these 2 fine gentlemen. But more important things had to be discussed like Eddie Murphy, cars, musicans, etc, etc.
AND YET AGAIN - Jenell and I were the spirit that kept the crowd ALIVE.

ATTENTION: if you are a musican and have to play awkward shows for about 20 people, you can hire Jenell and I to participate in conversation with you. We will ask questions as well as sing along and laugh at anything you say during the performance.

.... we'll work out a price!
