my tormentors required songs

horray!
Nathan, Jimmmy, Jenell, James, and I worked on some new stuff!  We listened to "we are the world" and "hot for teacher" and drew a lot of inspiration.  After this new found inspiration hit, we got Nathan a double bass drum for songs like, "Open Letter" and "The Bottom".

We also decided, with our new inspirado from "We Are The World", that we should go ahead and try some autotune out on Jenell's vocals and realized how amazing she sounds with some intense vocal modification on her voice.

We also held a prayer circle halfway through the recording session because James requires that at all of his sessions.

Overall, it was a great day and I'm super excited about everyone being able to hear the new double bass drummed autotuned sound of Jenell and the Yets!  STAY TUNED

she was the type to watch "oprah" and "the today show"

the album for ze Jenell and the Yets has been mastered and we are that much closer to having it all done for your listening pleasure.
We've learned in James' studio that myspace can be an amazing tool for promotion. FOR INSTANCE.. to gain friends you can comment with things like this:
"You like AC/DC? People say we sound like AC/DC and we're right here in town! Maybe we should be friends!"

But of course, we are aware that myspace can be as addictive as crack... some things we've learned:
- Sometimes, spending too much time on myspace may lead us to forget to practice. so we have to remember to divide our days between myspace and practicing.
- Avoid Whore Trains

I guess myspace is even good for making people in highschool jealous cause you're in a band?
I don't know.

While James sat and jammed in his chair while fixing up parts on "End of the Night", Jenell helped me explore some settings on my camera.
For instance:
smile like a child, sports (pictured above), you got a cake, tree, splashing water, robot, anti-shake, and makea frame.

There are more settings, but just as we were really getting into it, we had to talk about fade outs.
Settings such as fish, tackle, building at night, toothy grin, kaboom, and food will have to wait for another day.
Cameras are great!

while recording earlier, we discovered many things.
James' Robots, Mr. Arpeggiator, the red stripe song, Nathan is an amazing drum machine whom pisses excellence, Frogs don't say much but it is addictive, MYSPACE can be addictive as crack, and while there were many more things discovered, there was one thing that was very important and uh.. discovered.

"THE YETS", people. We have decided it's "JENELL AND THE YETS" . You heard it hear first!

this post is so late. it's a day late, technically 2 days i guess, but with good reason. we were at the studio last night adding MORE awesomeness to things (no that is not TJ playing guitar...) until about 2, didn't get home til about 3:30, then I didn't go to bed until about 4:30, then I got up today and went to work this morning at 7:30, came home and slept forever and FINALLY at 2 am... i got to my camera.
buy our music once it's ready.
just reminding you.
cause you're going to have to do that when it's ready.
otherwise.. jenell and i will not be your friend.

this entire weekend felt so productive and so awe-inspiring.

on another note though:
10 years ago today i saw my first concert EVER - the FOO FIGHTERS at the electric factory - may 6, 1997. there's a pleasant fact from my history. now i'm up to almost 100 concerts... and that's not even counting some... but still it's a nice little anniversary for me...

is that lame?
