Did a wee bit Christmas shopping before meeting up with Jenell for dinner and then to go see "The Princess Bride" at a local theater.
She loves this movie and I have never really seen it before. One time, I went over her house and she put the movie on for us to watch and I feel asleep almost immediately. The only other part I remember was when the trio of idiots got The Princess to the top of the cliff. I really slept through that whole movie.
But last night? I DID NOT FALL ASLEEP! I didn't realize how funny this movie was. I always figured it'd be some dramatic love story because it was popular with the Hot Topic stores and all that. I thought the punk/goth/emo kids loved a story about tortured love and all that.
Instead, this movie was actually really funny. The part where Westley falls down the hill, yelling, "AAAASS YOU WIISSSSH" and then Buttercup literally throws herself down the hill to go after him.... psh... I was laaaauuggghiiinn.
Really good movie. I get why everyone gets all excited whenever that movie comes up in conversation now.
