we'll get a Chinese and watch tv

Lily Allen at the TLA (is that the official name still? or is the word "filmore" in there? I don't know!) has the following things:

1. Natalie Portman's Shaved Head (which is actually a band. that sings about beards and side pony tails. hm.)
2. Lily looking like she's having so much fuuunnn singing and dancin'
3. Lots of little children....which was weird. I mean like 7,8,9,10 ages. weird.
4. A cheesesteak eating contest
5. Really tall boyfriends who came with their girlfriends. I'm not kidding. Very tall, people! See all those tall heads in that picture? I bet in front of everyone of them was their small girlfriend!

So yes, overall though, so good! Lily is awesome. How many artists do you know have a song titled "Fuck You" that samples the carpenters and sounds like it could be on a "Sesame St" soundtrack? well.. asides from the lyrics.

so i've been meaning to do this but I've been slacking. I need to take a picture of another CD and blah blah let's just get the ball rolling.
I've decided that for the entirety of 2009 I'm going to take a picture of every CD I get/receive so I can track this shit. I'm interested to see how many CDs I actually purchase, too.
UNFORTUNATELY I don't know how many of these entries I will be having considering (1) I'm broke and (2) CDs are expensive if you miss that first week sale.

SO we'll see.

Lily was introduced to me back in the apartment by Jenell on myspace. Her new cd is different from old, but in a good way. you should buy it... for real real.. not for play play.

So we went to see Justin Timberlake to celebrate the release of "Good Morning Revival"

Tonight, it would have been nice to go see Lily Allen to celebrate the release of "Citizen" ......... and if a copy of "Citizen" was avaliable today - we could have followed through with that plan.

national front disco

She's something sort of of punk-y, electronica... kind of grime? Kind of like new wave grime? Kind of maybe like more broken beats, like kind of dub-y broken beats, but a little bit kindddaaa soulful? Like kind of drum & bass-y but kind of more broken drum & bass. Kind of broken beats but break-beat kind of broken drum & bass kind of... You know what I mean?

It's hard to take a good picture of Lily Allen when she's being so damned awesome and apprently is a triplet.
