coffee and cigarettes

Don, Jenell and I ventured to Philadelphia to see Jimmy Eat World.

What's that? Pics or it didn't happen? Well...

Sadly, that is the best I can do.  I hate when I think to myself, "You're not wearing the proper clothes to smuggle in a camera" or "it's too hard to hide in your bag" and I don't bring my camera in, then I get to the security check point and I find out that getting my camera in would have been very easy.  Damn you, venues!

Anyway, yeah, the show was really fun.  I had only seen JEW once before and it was part of a radio show, which kind of sucks considering I've been a big fan of this band for years and years now.  So I was happy to finally get to see them play their own set and was happy they didn't just shove a lot of new songs into their set list.  Lot's of throwbacks!

Jenell and I hung out in the bar area cause we had a really great spot and could see the stage really well.  Don, on the other hand, worked his way to the very front.  Kudos, friend!
But Jenell and I left the bar area before Jimmy Eat World played "23" and were really disappointed.  You see, a lot of people in the bar were begging them to play that song, so we knew once they actually played it that there was probably a lot of hugging and crying that we missed out on.  Oh well.  We had a dance party to attend!!!

In the end, Don went home with his friend, and after I dropped off Jenell, I drove home in some INSANE rain with INSANE thunder that made my car shake.

IT WAS A GOODNIGHT, JO!
