YEARS ago I found out about this little museum called the Mutter Museum and wanted to go very badly. Well, guess what?! Because Jenell's mom gave birth to her, the visit to the museum finally happened.
For those not familiar, the Mutter Museum is a museum filled with medical oddities. For instance, pieces of brain and skin from former Presidents, gross realistic wax models of skin disorders and women with horns growing out of their heads, a lady whose body turned into a soapy substance after she died, lots of wax models of bad things that can happen to your eye (ew i think getting a splinter in your eye was the worst for me) and things like skeletons of conjoined twins and 7 foot tall men. aka COOL STUFF.
Basically it was a really cool, unique museum that had Jenell and I saying, "ew gross" and, "uuuggh no waaaay" a LOT. I highly recommend it. I even found things I wanted to take home to decorate my house with:
how cool is that heart?! It's a "Wet Specimen Preparation of a Human Heart - Rendered translucent and injected with red dye to better show it's vasculature" Oddly enough, they weren't selling it, so I just got the post card. Woot WOOOT!
