So last Tuesday Jenell and I went to see Kylie Minogue in NYC.
After that, I sat and thought, "What can I do that would be a total 180 to the concert experience I had on Tuesday?" Sooooo....
Dead Man's Bones played at the First Unitarian Church in Philly. At first I didn't know if I could go.. Then the show was sold out... Only to find today that R5 was releasing 10 tickets earlier today... So, in short, I ended up getting 2 tickets and going to the show!

Needless to say, this show was pretty much... an experience. Not so much just a show.. no it was an event. A production. It started off with a "talent show" that involved a magician, a dude who moved his body in strange ways while juggling machetes, a guy messing with a keyboard, 2 woman doing interpretive dancing, 3 kids dancing to Spongebob music, and 2 people performing opera with violins and running all over the stage while doing so.

After that, the band came out and sang a song with the Ghost Host of the Evening and then, children dressed as ghouls came down the aisles and took their place on stage. Then there was musssic, short films, a cover of "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot me Down)", and candy throwing.

And of course, Ryan Gosling. Sigh. <3
ANYWAY, this was a very cool show. The music was awesome, the atmosphere was cool, and the concept of the entire thing is respectable. I'd go again!
