The Duke Spirit was pretty awesome. Lelia, the lead singer, had a really great stage presence and the band was just so good musically, really well put together.
As you can see, we were VERY close for the Duke Spirit.
Then Eagles of Death Metal started and it was pretty impossible to get back up to where we were or even close to it. We got to the end of the bar and that was about as far as we could go. And even then, I had to do a lot of awkward sitting and straining of the neck just to see. I really love Eagles of Death Metal, but I had a feeling that seeing them would kind of make me feel like they were just playing the same song over and over. And after hearing what we thought to be Lisa's song started over and over again only to be let down over and over again, we decided it was time to go.
And the bartender was a jerk to Katie on her birthday so I stole a cup.
