I've really kept up on watering it and making sure it gets sunlight, but since we've been doing all this contruction on our house, it's had to "live" outside, so I've been concerned, especially when I saw a big spider making a web connecting from it's leaves to the side of the house.
But the spider's gone, and the plant has stayed well watered, so so far so good.
knock on wood.

spiders don't kill plants.
and it's terribly ironic that you were worried about a PLANT surviving OUTDOORS.
i know i was thinking of that when i was updating. but it's not that i think it's gonna die from being outside.. i just feel like i'm not caring for it AS much since its been out there. like i havent been keeping up on watering it and all. It's neglect on my part.
Bamboo is like a weed. It's really really hard to kill it, so I wouldnt worry. You may need to cut off some of the dead growth...if that makes sense. How you can have dead growth is beyond me, but thats what momma says.
You're a good plant mommy.
I bought Matt a bamboo because they're famously hard to kill, remember?
eavvon - yeah the thing has been healthy its entire life. one time an edge of a leaf turned brown and i worried, but we good!
kat - hell yeah i am!
jenell - yeah but when my mom bought it hte lady told her to watch it carefully because they don't last long so when i got it iwas really careful with it. after realizing how easy it was to care for though, i slacked. damned ikea.
