I read this article in Rolling Stones about the recent revival of rock radio. It talked about how KROQ in New York recently came back from a talk radio format and about how WMMR in Philly is ranked number 3 or something, i dont know the magazine is in my kitchen - i'm in my bedroom. BUT HEY - POINT BEING - the article also mentioned that Philly just REGAINED an alternative rock station! Not classic rock, not hiphop, not dance, not oldies, not talk... alternative rock!I put on 104.5 in my car this morning on the way to work and everytime I've been in my car since - it's been like a pleasant surprise. The first time I turned it on? Blind Melon. The next? Smashing Pumpkins. This went on to! Nirvana, the Foo Fighters, Green Day, The Police, Social Distortion, Porno for Pyros, Beastie Boys, The Clash, Pearl Jam! ITS LIKE Y100 BUT ITS NEW!
This is big news for me haha.

normally I would complain that you didn't link to MY post about 104.5 but in this particular instance I don't care because the station plays like two current tracks a day and the rest is like a RHCP / U2 Greatest Hits CD

TJ! I've been listening to this station a lot in the past 2 days and i've only heard RHCP once! "Under the Bridge"!! I haven't heard U2 at all!
try it again! It's better now! they played the LEMONHEADS
The only draw back with it is that they play like.. 90s alt WITH new rock music :( thats the downer.... that shit sucks
