Jenell has a song called, "Does Peanut Butter Go Bad?" It came from when she was trying to find people one night to answer that very question. It's been a pretty long debate amongst everyone.
Today, my family was going to the grocery store and I made a quick list and put peanut butter on it. My mom says, "Don't we have peanut butter?"
I say, "Yeah, but it tastes like sugar. Like you can taste the grains of sugar or something, it's weird."
So my dad picks up the peanut butter and is looking for an idea of when we got this peanut butter and look:
AW SNAP YO, it's 2 years old!
so in conclusion, my answer to this question is, yes. Peanut Butter does indeed go bad.
