this day was shaping up to be a really awesomely free day.

I got 2 free lipsticks at MAC (one of which was personally signed by lady gaga when i bought it - true story).  One was for my birthday from Jenell, and the other was because I gave them six empty mac containers!

Then I got free gas!

And then... I got too cocky.  Matt and I tried to get free pancakes at iHop only to discover that a lot of other people had the same idea.
I could have waited 20 minutes, yes.  But something about waiting 20 minutes in a crowded waiting area for a plate of pancakes that only costs about $4 anyway.  And you still have to donate money to their charity, so really, they're not totally free, ANYWAY!

So no free pancakes.

Whatever, my turkey burger was awesome.

And because I've been watching so much of "The Office" Season 5 DVDs, this scene just comes to mind....

Okay so.

LAST YEAR, Jenell and I found this awesome video that inspired us to enjoy pancakes on international pancake day. We both documented it in our blogs and guess what?

This year, iHop decided that Jenell and I were onto something and decided to celebrate international pancake day today. And how? By giving away free short stack pancakes.

However, because of this "ice storm" that happened today the trip to iHop with it's free short stack pancakes offer was canceled.

So I go to look up last year's international pancake day and guess what? iHop flubbed. Jenell and Jamie's international pancake day takes place on February 24.

So not all is lost!
and besides, if we celebrate on the 24th, we can sing the famous "Strawberry pancakes" song........

out of the blue you came to me

this looks HELLA gross, but it was good.
it's from ihop. and whenever we go to ihop, it wins for picture of the day. Why? because ihop is the best place ever.
Anyway, enough praise for that place. I took a picture of this because it took me all the way until i stopped eating this disgusting looking - yet good - mess to realize that there were bananas IN the pancake, not just outside.
